2018 Meet Taipei Startup exhibition to have over 100 global startup participation


2018 Meet Taipei Startup Exhibition will have over 100 global startups participating with over 300 local startups and companies starting from November 15 to 17 at the EXPO Dome of EXPO Park in Taipei

27 cities of startup team come to Taiwan from all over the world, and international innovative momentum is strong. Taiwan has become the voice of innovation and on the 5th year of MEET Taipei, the exhibition has successfully attracted large enterprise participation becoming important power of support for startup development.

This year, theme of MEET Taipei is “Startup High-5ive” and issues for the three days included: Startup topic forum, DigiAsia 2018, Meet Neo Star Demo Show, Startup Talk Show, Global Pitch of international team,、French innovation Weekends and Disclose of startup investigation 2018.

The event will have participation from industry leaders like Jan Hollmann – Bosch’s CEO in Taiwan, Hong Wua – CEO of Igucang, Xiaomi ecological chain, Jacky Han – Vice President of Cheetah Mobile, Chau Kin – CEO of Microsoft Accelerator (Shanghai) and Ming Chen – CEO and founder of KKday.

This year MEET Taipei will work with Taiwan startup groups and also connect with global startup ecology. La French Tech, La France à Taiwan and Business Next will invite teams from France The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan with Enspyre will hold Dragons’Chamber Taiwan, inviting self-confident and potential startup to join the competition and win funding.

Nearly 100 groups of international teams from 27 cities will get on three day Global Pavilion exhibit and the Global Pitch activity.

The Government of Taiwan will be providing resources to motivate startup development. Various departments like the National Development Council, Small and Medium Enterprise Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Department of Commerce, MOEA, Ministry of Science and Technology and first time exhibit department, Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and communications will have many startup projects hoping to create more connections and opportunities.
