Stashfin appoints Baljit Singh Kalha

Prior to joining Stashfin, Baljit Singh Kalha was Senior Partner at Titus and Co.

• Formerly with Titus & Co., he has advised overseas companies, and is experienced in conducting M&A and JV’s, specializing in all aspects of investments into India
• Will leverage his in-depth experience of more than two decades, in providing strategic advice to Stashfin’s leadership team with a business solution mindset.

Neobanking platform Stashfin has made a key addition to its leadership team, with Baljit Singh Kalha joining as General Counsel.

Apart from being extensively involved in the M&A practice at the renowned law firm, he was a critical member of the Indian and International team of lawyers working on the dispute between Italy and India concerning the “Enrica Lexie” incident. He is a seasoned expert in conducting M&A, JV’s and specializes in all aspects of investments into India and advising start-ups and joint ventures from negotiations leading to their inception to occasions when ventures have to be restructured or liquidated.

At Stashfin, Kalha will provide strategic legal counseling to top and middle management, internal business and product teams (including legal, public policy, communications and sales and marketing teams) across a diverse range of complex issues. His role will also encompass providing strategic inputs towards corporate strategy, introduction of new products, policy enhancements, compliances and legal aspects.

He is a graduate of St. Stephens College, New Delhi with an LL.B. from CLC, Delhi University. He then went on to complete an LL.M from Georgetown University.

Stashfin recently announced a fund-raise of $270 Mn in series C round, which was among one of the highest in H1 2022, and has been making headlines with a series of new initiatives such as brand revamp, exclusive card launches for Women and Army segments, leadership hiring and expansion plans.
